Music Theory 101
Music Major Boot Camp is a class for adults
who want to know more about Music Theory and those
high school students considering a music major
in college. This semester-long course will primarily involve a
study of music history, but will also include
sight-singing and ear-training exercises and
advice on preparing for music major applications
and auditions. Music Theory 101 only meets
first semester.
Music da Capo
Literally translated as “music from the
beginning”, Music da Capo provides an early
introduction to the elements of music,
structured for infants to toddlers and their
caregivers. Each session is designed to
introduce children to joyful music and movement
in a creative environment that will make parent
and child feel at ease.
Fees
Participating in the MusicWorks program
requires both commitments of time and money.
Becoming proficient in music requires effort
over an extended period of time. For this
reason, fees are based on the school year or the
length of the class offering. Significant
sponsorship support has traditionally played an
important role in maintaining reasonable fees
for participation. A limited number of
scholarships are available based upon need and
student commitment.
